Gordon Medical Associates and Pacific Frontier Medical

This spring is bringing some exciting changes.

Starting April 1, 2024, Pacific Frontier Medical will be officially integrating into the Gordon Medical Associates team, making Gordon Medical the premier Lyme, tick-borne, and environmentally acquired illness clinic on the West Coast.

By joining our practices, we are expanding our think tank for complex and chronic illnesses, increasing our capacity to work on difficult cases and find healing for individuals for whom conventional medicine has been unable to help.

We are honored to welcome the following doctors and staff to the GMA family

Dr. Steven Harris, MD has been in private practice since 2001. Throughout his career he has focused on the diagnosis and treatment of Chronic Complex Illness including Lyme disease and tickborne co-infections as well as myalgic encephalomyelitis, chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS), fibromyalgia, autistic spectrum disorder, chronic inflammatory response syndrome (CIRS), mold & mycotoxin illness, among others.

Dr. Jennifer Sugden, ND is a licensed Naturopath in both Oregon and California. Her career began in primary care, with 3 years in midwifery. She has since expanded her scope to focus on chronic complex illness and has enjoyed the challenge of these cases over the past 11 years. She is very well versed in infertility, prenatal care, and postnatal care and how it may relate to Lyme and tickborne illness. Other areas of expertise include long haul syndrome, autoimmunity, mycotoxins, endocrinology, autism and more.

Yvonne Sorenson, PA-C received her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) and joined Pacific Frontier Medical in June 2007. She has been trained by Dr. Steven Harris and continues to work closely with him and everyone at the practice. Yvonne has become very knowledgeable in the methodologies and treatment protocols of Lyme disease and tickborne co-infections, as well as Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS), Fibromyalgia, Biotoxin Illness, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, and Pediatric Acute-Onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome (PANS).

Nate Santella will be joining us as a Medical Assistant to Dr. Sugden/ Yvonne Sorenson.

Kathy Martinez will be joining our Front Desk team and helping our patient liaison, Nils, in transitioning PFMI patients to Gordon Medical.

We believe that this move will positively impact our patients’ experiences and maintain our commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare services to our community.

Gordon Medical and Pacific Frontier Medical share many of the same methods of treatment and ideologies. This merging of clinics will expand the options for patients in addition to expanding the pool of knowledge for our clinic overall. We hope this change will provide our patients with an even more comprehensive and seamless healthcare experience.
