Patients with complex dental issues and infections, such as:
Available appointments for some of our doctors are limited. Waiting list may be available.
Your first visit will be a two hour appointment with one of our experts in complex chronic illness.
During this visit a thorough history will be taken. We need to go beyond the lab results and diagnoses you may have previously been given to find a more complete picture of what has happened in your life prior to and since you began to have symptoms. This is all about defocusing on one symptom or diagnosis, and understanding and appreciating the full constellation of what you are going through.
Our doctors are detectives, looking to find how everything is connected, and where to best begin an intervention. This will not be completely discovered in your first visit, as there will be an unwinding as the body receives the support to unravel each layer.
Comprehensive two hour intake with optional add-on records review prior to the appointment (limited).
Available in person and by video or audio appointment.
Note: Patients from out of state will need to have a prescribing physician who is local to them. GMA doctors are not legally able to prescribe medications or lab tests for most out of state or international patients, unless your local laws allow out of state prescribing.
Many out of state or international patients come to the San Rafael area for periods of 2-6 weeks to receive intensive treatment. If you are in California for treatment, the doctors are able to prescribe medication and lab tests for as long as you are here.
No testing required prior to your first visit. All testing is ordered based on the patient's unique needs, which cannot be evaluated before they are seen by the doctor.
During your visit, the doctor will assess which tests you need and will order them if you are in California.
Doctor’s Fee: $600 - $800 per hour - Each doctor sets their own standard fee.
Add-On: Optional lab or imaging results reviewed prior to consult, up to 50 pages in ½ hour: $300 - $400 per half hour.
Add-On: Optional doctor’s initial consult or summary pages or written history by patient reviewed prior to consult, up to 15 pages or ½ hour: $300 - $400 per half hour.
* If you do not use the review add-ons, any records will be reviewed during your two hour intake appointment.
In-Person Appointment: Ordered testing may be completed in the office. NOTE: There is a separate fee for blood draws/processing for complex testing done at GMA. Individual lab test prices are subject to change. Please check with the office to get current prices.

Initially, depending on how complex your care will be, you may need a one hour office visit every week, or once every other week for a period of 3-6 months.
Typically after 3-6 months, visits will be one hour per month. The timing of this change would be at your doctor’s discretion, based on how you are responding to treatment. If your situation is found to be more straightforward, one hour a month may suffice. When care will not be as complex, you may start at one hour per month.
If you are unable to commit to the recommended number of visits, we find patients do not do as well, and we are less likely to be able to help you attain your health goals.
How Long Will Treatment Take? Find Out More
Cost of treatment, including doctor’s visits, supplements, and testing will run $3-4000 per month.
If intensive IV therapies are required it can be closer to $3-4000 per week including doctors visits, supplements, IV therapies and testing. About 50% of our patients do IV therapies and require this option for approximately 3-6 months before treatment becomes less intensive.
Patients who come from out of town for treatment typically do such intensives for 2 to 4 weeks at a time at our clinic, then go back home and return every 1-3 months for ongoing intensive periods of treatment.
