5th Annual Functional Medicine Symposium
July 15 @ 6:00 am - 5:00 pm PDT
$150

Priority Health Academy is proud to announce the 5th Annual FxMed Symposium. We have a list of wonderful speakers this year on a variety of topics of interest to functional & integrative medicine practitioners.
Dr. Eric Gordon will speak on: Craniocervical Instability (CCI) and Mast Cell Activation: Through the Lens of the Cell Danger Response

When working with chronically ill patients, it is useful to consider the interface between structural issues, mitochondria, and the immune system.
When there is inflammation, ligaments get more lax. If there is genetic tendency for lax ligaments and Mast Cell Activation, they will exacerbate each other. In particular, instability at the craniocervical junction has proven to be an issue in our patients. The irritated brainstem secondary to the lax ligaments will activate the immune system and cause increased Mast Cell Activation (MCAS) which in turn increases ligamentous laxity.
Fix the craniocervical instability and the mast cell activation, will often head back towards the normal range.
Normalize the mast cell activation and the ligamentous laxity will improve.
The Cell Danger Response and its effects on mitochondrial shape and ATP production are at the interface of immunity and energy production. Understanding this interplay helps see the relationships that allow for healing, and also cause chronic disease.
Admission is a $100 donation to our NGO (Priority Health Academy) it is non-refundable. After March 15th donation is $150 for access.
