Peptide Reference Guide

The peptides most often used in our practice

We are proud to have created a methodology for peptides in the use of Complex Chronic Illness – chronic infections, post infectious diseases, and environmental toxicity creating inflammation and immune dysregulation.

Our clinic is doing this in a way that very few doctors are. While there are practitioners and patients using peptides for longevity, anti-aging, and weight loss, there are no protocols developed for complex chronic illness.

We are paving the pathway as thought leaders in the use of peptide therapy for these conditions.

Below is a list of many of the peptides we use in the treatment of complex chronic illness.

PEPTIDES FOR IMMUNE MODULATION:

Orally active, absorbable and higher potency than the full-length TB4 peptide. TB4-FRAG offers a wide range of immune supportive properties in the treatment of complex chronic illness.

  • 4 amino acid fragment of 43 amino acid peptide
  • Broad activity as shown in multiple clinical trials
  • Expressed in nearly all cells
  • Stimulates production of T cells thus improving immunity
  • Assists in development of B cells to plasma cell to produce antibodies
  • Lowers pro inflammatory cytokines
  • Essential for protein repair and regeneration of tissues: promotes migration of cells, stimulates formation of blood vessels, helps maturation of stem cells, increases survival of various cell types
  • Indications in restorative effects for: Central and peripheral nervous system, cardiac, dermal and ophthalmic
  • Impacts multiple pathways neurological recovery: reducing inflammation, angiogenesis, neurogenesis, increase in myelination, oligodendrogenesis, synaptogensis and axonal outgrowth (no human clinical trials for neuroregeneration done yet, trials done on rats)
  • Stimulates expression of a variety of molecular mediators of neuromuscular plasticity
  • 15 amino acid peptide
  • Discovered in and isolated from human gastric juice
  • Improves digestive function
  • Protects and prevents gastric ulcers
  • Protects and heals inflamed intestinal epithelium (leaky gut)
  • Protects liver from toxic insults (alcohol, antibiotics, NSAIDs etc)
  • Acts as a free radical scavenger and exhibits neuroprotective properties
  • Has implications in arthritis treatment
  • Accelerates the healing of multiple different wounds: tendons, ligaments, muscles, nervous system
  • Shown to decrease pain in damaged area
  • Immune modulation effects including mast cell inhibition
  • Anti-inflammatory effects
  • Antimicrobial effects including against Candida albicans and Staphylococcus aureus
  • Organoprotective with metabolic stress
